   • The Tourism Police handle various aspects of tourist-related issues, including safety at tourist sites, responding to tourist emergencies, providing information and guidance to tourists, and addressing complaints or concerns raised by visitors.

   • Assistance and Guidance: Tourism Police officers are stationed at popular tourist destinations, airports, and major cities, where they offer assistance, guidance, and information to tourists.
   • Safety and Security: They patrol tourist areas to deter crime, ensure public safety, and respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies involving tourists.
   • Language Support: Many Tourism Police officers are proficient in English and other foreign languages, facilitating communication with international visitors and providing translation services when needed.
   • Tourist Complaints: Tourists can approach Tourism Police stations or officers to report any issues, complaints, or incidents they encounter during their visit to Sri Lanka. The Tourism Police investigate complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.

3. Collaboration with Other Agencies:

   • The Tourism Police work closely with other law enforcement agencies, government authorities, and tourism stakeholders to enhance the safety and security of tourists.
   • They collaborate with hotels, tour operators, and travel agencies to promote safety measures, provide security advice, and coordinate emergency response procedures.
